International cable procurement combines technical selection with quality control and logistics. Buyers receive better comparisons when they ask every supplier the same structured questions.
Can the Cable Be Customized?
Conductor size, core count, colours, sheath, marking, drum length and some performance options can often be customized. Feasibility depends on the product standard, raw-material availability, certification scope and production quantity.
What Are MOQ and Lead Time?
MOQ varies by conductor size and construction because extrusion, cabling and armouring lines need setup material. Lead time begins after technical approval and commercial confirmation, not necessarily on the first inquiry date.
Which Documents Are Available?
Typical documents include technical data sheets, routine test records, packing lists and certificates relevant to the ordered product. A factory management-system certificate is not the same as a product approval.
How Is Export Packing Confirmed?
Agree reel material, flange diameter, net and gross weight, length per drum, end sealing, shipping marks and container limits. Heavy drums require suitable lifting and unloading equipment at destination.
Questions That Reveal Supplier Readiness
Ask who approves the technical data sheet, how drum traceability links to routine tests, and what happens if conductor resistance or delivered length is disputed. Specific process questions produce more useful evidence than asking only whether quality is good.
